Check collection tasks, equipment, access, contents responsibilities, price and exclusions together.

Authorize the work
Confirm who can approve the pickup and how changes will be agreed. Ask what records can be supplied.

Discuss the handover
Ask what remains damp and whether further checks, equipment or visits are proposed with additional charges.
Prepare the details you know.
Keep the address and ZIP ready. Describe the water depth, rooms, floor finishes, known source and discovery time. Mention access or contents restrictions and who can authorize the work; explain any uncertainty.
Read scope and charges together.
Ask about the assessment charge, collection boundaries, equipment time, exclusions and payment arrangements. Check how the contractor will explain a change before seeking your approval.
Know what the handover means.
Discuss remaining moisture, any records available and separately proposed work. Pickup of a visible pool does not establish that every material is dry.
